Pair Match Power (PMP) is calculated by multiplying the recipient match power (RMP) by the donor match power (DMP) then adding RMP to the product. The basic formula for PMP is (RMP x DMP + RMP). PMP may be calculated based on pre-preference RMP (RMPa) or post-preference RMP (RMPb). The toolbox displays both of these results. The formula for PMP, when more than one DD is included in the pair, is expanded to reflect the DMP of the additional donor(s). The basic formula is: PMPb = (RMPb x DMP) = (RMPb x 1,000).
